Ito na ang PAGSIBOL “Umusbong ang sisidlan mula  sa lupang dinidiligan. Unti-unting namumulaklak at pamumukadkad na sa tamang pagkahinog ay magbubunga.” PAGSIBOL, CyberGuardiansPH’s 3 rd National Leadership Summit on Safer Cyberspace was held last November 25-26, 2023 at the Rizal High School, Pasig City. The 2023 Summit was organized in partnership with the City Government of Pasig through the City Social Welfare and Development Department. PAGSIBOL’s main objective is to foster community engagement in the pursuit of safer digital environment. It aims to increase the public's awareness, especially among the youth, about the effects of the wrong use of the internet and cyberspace and how to prevent them. The Summit showcased the whole national approach through the multi-sector participation of representatives from different stakeholders for a safer cyberspace that encompasses children's rights, protection from cyber predators and criminals, as well as the essential support and healing interventions needed. Coming from different parts of the Philippines about 170 youth representatives, teachers, NGOs, church, and local government participants joined the event. participated both onsite and online to attend the 3rd National Youth Leadership Summit. With the passion and the heart to become proactive youth leaders and genuine child protection advocates, the participants experienced passionate appeals from speakers from multi-sector representatives to participate in child protection advocacy endeavors, and engaging interaction and activities. Also joined the 2-day summit were the youth hosts from different schools namely Ralph Cabanilla (Rizal High School), Jazeerah Baluso (Buting High School), Angelica Saavedra (University of the Philippines Rural High School), Jhom Fernando, Icon Monit, and Lei Lim (PUP Manila), Miel Amion (Mc Lorenze Academy), Bryan Tolentino (Diocese of Cubao), and Joel Dubasan (Mc Lorenze Academy). Facilitators: Atty. Judie Rose Dimayuga and Mr. Edward S. Tiongco. Twenty-five resource guest speakers and panel discussants joined forces and shared their experience and expertise to facilitate an impactful discussion that serves as a clarion call for heightened awareness within our community, particularly among Filipino youth. David Lumba expressed Youth’s Doubts and Fears on How Children’s Rights are Being Violated and Not Properly Protected/Safeguarded in the Digital Age. Miel Amion, shared How the Young can help Co-create Safer Cyberspace, and Jazeerah Baluso empathically talks about how the youth is being affected by fake news, misinformation/disinformation, and the excessive use of social media. She also cited some reasons why the young opt to spend more time online. Mr. Jemuel Fuerte OF President, Pinagsamang Lakas Ng Kabataan (Pilak), Mr. Federico L. Cabredo, Rsw, Operations Manager of the World Hope International and Former Ambassador to The Holy See, Hon. Grace Relucio Princesa talks about the Community and Duty Bearers Response. The program highlighted the presentation of the 3-year Roadmap on Safer Cyberspace of the city government on Day 1. "This roadmap was created using the combined ideas of members of the Pasig City Local Council for the Protection of Children during their 3-day Strategic Planning Workshop on Safer Cyberspace for Children and Youth last September 2023. Contained here are the programs and projects that will be supported by the local government to ensure the continuous mitigation and eventual eradication of the problem of online abuse and exploitation of women and children," Mayor Vico Sotto said. Pasig City, Vice Mayor, Hon. Robert Vincent Jude “Dodot” Jaworski, Jr., shares the Vision, Mission, And Goals District 2, Councilor Hon. Maria Luisa Angela “Angelu” De Leon discusses the Pasig LGU-CGPH Partnership and How would lead to a Safer Cyberspace Roadmap for Pasig City and District 2, Councilor Hon. Syvel Asilo-Gupilan showcases the 2023 Ongoing Cybersafe Pasig Programs. Mrs. Teresa Briones, Pasig CSWD Department Head, CGPH-Pasig Safer Cyberspace Program Pasig Team Head shares the 2024 Cybersafe Pasig Targeted Programs for Implementation. Mr. Joel Roy Dusaban from Mc Lorenze Academy, and Ms. Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, Entrepreneur, Author, UN Women Advocate, and CGPH Advocacy Ambassador shares their experience of the program. Mr. Dexter Baño of the Orbitx ph, Founder and President shares his inspiring stories from the field. The official theme song entitled Ito na ang Pagsibol, composed by Mr. Rolie Navaro and written by Mr. Stephen Tan features different youths, seminarians, and different organizations both private and public, capturing the spirit of solidarity among all sectors of society, working as ONE in co-creating SAFER CYBERSPACE for the protection of children and the young was launched. Day 2 was filled with sessions with Dr. Otto Scharmer, Founder of the Presencing Institute, Author of Theory U, and Senior Lecturer at MIT, Cambridge about the response to SANCTUARY and project tips on how we can take advantage of the Theory U methodology for societal transformation.  CGPH Executive Director, Concepcion Sangil, showcased the comprehensive program urging the people to be united in promoting Cybersafe Homes untapping’s Schools in Pasig City by Setting the structure and mechanism for an Awareness-based systems change to create Nurturing homes, schools, and communities engaged in Combating OSAEC and other forms of cyber threats; and Tapping on various psychosocial, psychospiritual, and values-based interventions to Uplift selected victim-survivors in their continuing healing and recovery And Reintegration as responsible Young member of the society or (SANCTUARY). Discussion Consciousness Raising: Theater as a Tool for Social Change Moving People to Action Through Theatre with Mr. Fernando Josef, the Artistic Director ng Tanghalang Pilipino. Mr. John Arcilla, the newest ambassador for the CGPH, and former Representative Sarah Elago have been launched and introduced. Dr. Maria Caridad H. Tarroja, expressed the aggravating factors that contributed to OSAEC. Panel Discussant Sr. Mary John Mananzan, OSB, and Ms. Florinor Algo, a consultant at SEAMEO-INNOTECH Conversation on the Mental Models Driving the Structures and Behaviors Contributing to the rise in OSAEC Cases and Other Forms of Cyber Threats Incidence and Transforming these Mental Models.  Dr. Teresa Paula S. De Luna discussed the Filipino family in the digital age. Rev. Fr. Teodulo "Ted" Gonzales, S.J. discussed strengthening the family values system with the help of the community along with Mr. Alvin R. Macalinao, Mr. Nathaniel B. Macalinao, and Atty. Alex Lacson. And more importantly, we seek to amplify the voices that resonate in today's world of unparalleled communication and digital technological advancements. Increasingly expose children and young individuals to potential risks. Exploring how children and youth can actively participate in the creation of CyberSafeHomes and CyberSafe Schools through creation of Sacred Space with the youth councils and peer facilitating units. Our partnerships and networks have been established to strengthen the co- creating the safer cyberspace and development efforts for awareness and mobilization. The youth are pieces matched together in a puzzle; Now, putting the pieces together makes a difference. Ito na ang PAGSIBOL!
