Bishop of the Diocese of San Carlos Vice Chairman, Commission on the Protection of Minors Vice Chairman, CBCP Caritas Philippines

Bishop Alminaza is a prominent Filipino Catholic bishop known for his active involvement in social and environmental issues. Ordained in 1986, he has served as Bishop of San Carlos since 2013.

A vocal advocate for climate justice, he has led initiatives such as the planting of 25,000 trees and campaigns against coal-fired power plants and fossil fuel investments. He has received numerous awards for his environmental and social work.

Currently, he holds various positions in the Catholic Church, including roles in social action, child protection, and ecological concerns. He is also a key figure in several national and regional organizations focused on environmental and social justice.

In 2022, he made history as the first official delegate of the Philippine Catholic Church to COP28 and was appointed bishop-champion for ecology of Caritas Philippines.
